Anthony Michael Hall
Peacefully at St John of God Hospital on May 20, 2021. Dearly loved husband of Josie (dec). Loved and loving father and friend of Lucy, Joseph and Jamie. Loved Partner of Carolyn.
Loved son of the late Geoffrey and Moya.
Loving Brother and Uncle of Maryrose, Louise, Timothy, Christopher and their families.
Funeral details will be advised in a later edition of the Courier.
My dearest brother Anthony.
We were great mates as teenagers.
I say “Anthony Hall the Opera”
you had so many skills and interests,
you were so varied, so clever so determined.
You were tough and times were tough.
You were cheated on in so many ways, and it was only lately that you could be understood.
You were eager, enthusiastic and very funny.
A great cook, shearer, brick layer welder.
You loved a good Henry Bucks shirt from an op shop, and to gift something beautiful.
The people you knew I knew, around and about the truth of love swells around us.
You are sorely missed and we live confounded by the losses.August 28, 2023
Your loving younger sister Louise Mary Carmel XXXX
Dear Lucy and Joseph,November 26, 2021
You will not remember me but your beautiful mother Josie worked at St Patrick’s in Griffith with me years ago. I remember her meeting your dad and how happy they were. I spent time out at the Griffith house with your mum & dad visiting especially when you both were born and your mum was sick.
You dad would call in to visit on some of his earlier return trips back to Griffith with you both, to say hello. And then he would drop into the pharmacy, where my husband worked, to say a quick hello. I was shocked to hear today for the first time, after reading the Area News, that your dad had passed back in May. So sorry and sad to hear this news. You are in our thoughts and prayers. If you ever come back to Griffith, please look us up. Your parents were very proud if you and you were very much the centre of your father’s life, after your mother’s passing. Do take care and thinking of you both and your grandmother,Moya, and all family. Maryanne & John Dodd

To Joseph and Lucy.
So sad to hear of Anthony’s passing. Our family has great memories of Anthony’s time spent at Trentham in his youth at our farm. Actually his shearing career commenced while he was working for Martin . Also memories of meeting Josie during the early years of his marriage.
Thank you Joseph for letting me know of his passing. Have passed on the news to the rest of my family who knew him well.

To Lucy and Joseph. Sorry for your lose of your father Anthony. He was a very kind man. He gave my kids beautiful experiences on his farm picking raspberries and digging up unusual potatoes. Very sad to hear the news of your passing. It’s been a long time since Longernong, but you are well remembered for being you. Condolences to your family and friends.May 26, 2021
Much respected member and freind of our group at Longerenong College Horsham. In our younger years we all gained from his example of hard work, determination, strong values and caring. Often up for some good natured mischief and a laugh. No doubt a great legacy and example left for his family.May 26, 2021
Condolences to Lucy, Joseph and family.
So sorry that you are no longer physically with us Anthony. You had many obstacles in your life including at the end but you demonstrated great generosity and humanity throughout that life. You were unique. Our lives are richer for having known you. We hold on to the many good memories of our times spent together.
Thank you Anthony.
