Funeral Notice
man precies zoals zijn vader Raymond.
Eifeltoren. Geen wolkje te zien , volle
zonneschijn .

We’ll always remember his charefull character when he visited his sister Leona and his brother in law Jozef (“Jef”) in Hansbeke, Belgium, after a tourist trip with Jacky in Europe or Asia.
and when he told stories of his friends in Australia (always drinking his chocolate milk at the party..)
Family Embo-Van Bever, BelgiumI’ve been friends with Peter for 15 years and will miss him very much. He was a frequent guest at my dinner parties in Ballarat and never failed to arrive with the most delicious bottles of red wine and plenty of interesting stories of his travels with the lovely Jacky! He couldn’t wait to be reunited with jacky again and although he has left a big hole in our lives in Australia it makes me so happy to think of him flying with the angels with his beloved by his side.
January 12, 2022Peter was a wonderful friend, kind and gentle. He always liked to do little things for me. We had so many nice times together when he came to visit every Friday. He never missed a visit, not once. A thorough gentleman.

Our world is poorer for his passing, but so much richer for his being with us.
It was truly a pleasure and a privilege to know him.
We will miss him so much.
Many many thanks to you, dear Peter, for the blessing that you were in our lives. We say goodbeye to a dear family member only few of us really knew. Our mom, aged 89, Peters older sister, affected by Alzheimer, will not realise she lost her baby brother. Only Patrick and I have vidid memories of uncle Peter and aunt Jacky. They left us for Australia on the 29th of december 1963, for a new world, a new future. Back then, there was no internet, skype, whatsapp, or gsm, but there were letters. As children, we listened to our grandmother as she read Peters letters to us. We kept in touch. In 1972 they came back to Belgium of a visit, what an event. New communication channels and the commercialisation of air traffic allowed them and us to see us more frequently. For the last 4 years we kept in touch through skype. And if covid 19 did not disturb the world so profoundly, I would have come to Australia. Anyhow, we remember “uncle Peter” as a kind person, a fine human being, who we have always appreciated. He will always be in our hearts and memories. And we, Peters family, express our gratitude to his Australian friends, who stood by him in his final moments.
January 9, 2022Thank you Peter for being in my life. I appreciated you very much for your kindness, humor, gentleness, trustworthiness, love and just for being you. I will miss you very much, but I know you are at peace and live in my heart.
