I had the pleasure of meeting Jack during his time as a farmer at Simpson and of course during his writing of The Infiltrators and We who Followed.
I continually use his books as references in local history and have said on many occasions how in awe of his skills I am.
He wrote those books pre internet and the level of detail is simply awesome.
Please accept this tribute from me and on behalf of the Heytesbury Historical Society.
Our sympathies on Jack’s passing. We have many fond memories of lots of laughs when our families caught up, particularly Xmas tea at Mair Street.May 30, 2020
