To Martin, John, Russell & families,
With sincere sympathy on the sad loss of your loved Mother and Grandmother.
Sylvia was our good friend from the Probus Club and we enjoyed her company on many occasions, particularly on Trivia nights when she knew all the answers to religious questions! She always had a friendly smile and we will miss her.
Loving memories from Trudy and Ron Batten.Dear Martin, John, Russell and families. So sorry to hear of your mum’s passing. Your place was a second home for me for many years, and your Mum was a big part of a lot of happy memories for me. Not sure if you remember, but she even saved my life once – we were all out at Mt Arapilies and I’d got myself in a position were I was sliding towards a big drop with nothing to grip onto. Luckily you boys had your usual array of ropes with you and Sylvia was able to pull me up to safety. Will always remember that and be very, very grateful.
January 28, 2022What a beautiful lady and my wonderful friend. I feel very privileged to have spent 13 years in your home and enjoying your company. I will miss our lengthy discussions on anything and everything. Thankyou for just being my friend.

My condolences to her family who supported her so well.I was saddened to read of the passing of Sylvia, such a kind and loving friend I made over 30 years ago when I lived in Buninyong and my family attended the Holy Trinity Anglican Church. In Sylvia’s unique way from her days in Mothers’ Union, she took hold of us as a young family; she loved and was nurturing to my 5 then very young children and befriended me, a friendship which lasted to her end, albeit that we haven’t communicated very much during the COVID Pandemic which co-incided with a cancer journey for me. Sylvia was devoted to her dear, sweet husband Jim who was a truly affable English gentleman – she will be so happy to be with Jim again. Sylvia was so devoted to and adored her 3 boys. She also adored and was so grateful to have her dogs that I knew, Carla and Hettie who often came in my car if I took Sylvia shopping.
My sincere condolences and prayers of healing on the loss of their dear and very loving Mum to Martin, Russell and John and their families. Sylvia was ever so proud of you all and just adored all her grandchildren.
Rest Eternal Grant Unto Sylvia O Lord and may light perpetual shine upon her as she rests in eternal peace. Well done thou good and faithful servant of our Lord.
Sylvia was much loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

January 24, 2022Remembering Sylvia, I recall a calm and welcoming mother of childhood friends, Martin, John and Russell. Three boys whom regularly undertook quite amazing activities, such as hanging out of trees at great heights, constructing things that to young eyes were things of wonder but to an adult we’re eyesores! In retrospect, Sylvia’s patience was amazing, and she brought up three wonderful men. I remember her as a long-standing family friend to my parents and the Kongs.
My condolences to Martin, John, Russell and their families.
