Trevor John Colman

Thanks Trevor and Marion for taking me on that Trip along the Great Ocean Road in 1995. I had no idea how far it was, but Trevor and Marion as always both selflessly offered to take me and it was a massive day and poor Trevor was buggard at the end of it. Yet he never said a thing. Its a great week on the farm despite Trevor’s teasing. But I was warned. The years go quick, it just seems like the other day.

Dear Marion, Monica, Karen and families
What a lovely tribute and send off for Trevor.
It feels like so long ago we moved in as your Happy Valley neighbours. Summer 1983!
Your first visit, Marion with a German apple cake and a warm welcome. The second – with a roll of carpet for our caravan annexe – as our 10 month old daughter Ani was crawling on a dirt floor. And yes, we were one of the neighbours Trevor came out to – his tractor to pull our tractor from the dam.
Many shared cuppas when our children were small. We drifted apart when we left Linton but Ballarat was not too big and we managed to bump into each other occasionally.
Trevor always had that twinkle in his eye and a wry expression – as if he was sharing a private joke about something he’d just seen or heard. Sending our love

Marion, Karen and Monica, that was a wonderful goodbye. Claire, was such a brave girl.

Watching and listening let me know more about the man – my dear bear and will always be shorty when thinking about the fun we had, than I knew.

I am glad that Jim and I had a wonderful time with you both, sad to have been
such a short time.

We didn’t see you very often, the distance is to far away. I think about our speeches, when Marion and I where playing rummy cup. You said doppel doofe. We had a lot of fun, you gave me a folder of the Australian birds, I have it up to now and use it often. We feel with Marion and the whole family. For the grandchildren it must be horrible to loose the loves grandpa. We are very sad.

Thank you Marion for allowing us to be part of Trevor’s farewell. We were with you in spirit and our thoughts are with you and the family.

Trevor was a true gentleman. I remember him working hard to build the house in Happy Valley. I was saddened to hear of his passing. Rest peacefully and Marion, Karen and Monica…you are in my thoughts and prayers . Xxx

…..met you way too late in my life, imagine how much more I could have learned from you….let’s have another ‘cuppa ( white, no sugar thanks Marion ! ) and solve the world’s problems as we did many mornings…..

Trevor you are up there watching over your family who miss you each day. I hope that you are with dad, Uncle Bernie and Uncle Gerd, Get them to teach you Skat and drink schnapps, may you rest in peace, You will be sadly missed. Marion, Monica, Karen, Ian, Tim, Simon, Claire, Hayden and Nathan. This sister and Aunty loves all your gutses, Eleonore, XXXXOOOO Wish that we could be there with you to celebrate Trevor’s life.

My thoughts are with you Marion and your family. I’m sure Trevor will be missed greatly.
