Dear Judy, David, Kathleen and Sharon and family,

Condolences on the passing of your mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.

I remember Aunt Helma as a sweet and independent, authentic aunt. Fortunately I have met her more often in recent years when she was in the Netherlands. She always visited my mother Corrie, who was suffering from dementia at the time. My mother was very happy with these visits.
I found it very special that she even gave my ex-husband Ernst and his wife, Ageeth, a very warm welcome in Australia.
She was a very special woman!

Dear Judy, David, Sharon, Kathleen and family,

Though far away, our thoughts are with you in these sad days.
Thank you for the insight in (my aunt) Helma’s long and active live.
Although life is finite and there is peace with the passing of a parent at this advanced age, they were part of our routine, our daily life.
When they pass away, they leave an emptiness and many moments will occur when you still would have liked to share thoughts with them. The regular phone calls and visits stop and our direct connection with the past is gone.
Take care and cherish all the beautiful memories of your mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and of course (my uncle) Leo.

You shared your life stories with us, and we were impressed with your commitment in living a full life, one that brought many challenges and achievements. Condolences on the loss of your mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.
It is a sad occasion, but I am glad Helma died peacefully in your presence.

Tante Helma was a very special aunt to me. This certainly has to do with the fact that my mother, tante Ann, and I took an unforgettable trip to Australia in 1999. But even when tante Helma was in the Netherlands, we usually met up. Those are beautiful, lasting memories.

I wish you all, also on behalf of my mother and my wife Annemieke , lots of strength in the coming time. Our thoughts are with you.
