Joyce Elaine Bawden (née Hankin )

Joy passed away peacefully at the Ballarat Base Hospital.

Dearly loved and loving wife of Ed for almost 60 years.

Devoted mum to Peter (dec), Louise, Michele and Simone.

Mother in law to Colin Wright and Steve James.

Adored Grandma to Janine, Tim, Ethan & Jaie, and James.

Great Grandma to Maeve.

Daughter of Walter and Elsie Hankin.

Sister to Keith (dec) and sister in law to Elaine.

Joy’s bright smile and generous personality warmed everyone she met.

She was always tender and loving. Devoted to her family, Joy was engaged and interested in the lives of her loved ones.

Joy was a hard worker for her family and admired for the contribution she made to her community. Joy’s dear friends and family will treasure memories of a vibrant and compassionate lady.

A private burial has been conducted and a memorial service will be held when possible.
